The MP5 was developed by the German weapons company H & K during the 1964-1966 timeframe. It was developed as a direct response to the success of the G3 battle rifle, and was going to be used for close quarters combat operations. (And is it!) It is manufacured under license by multiple European countries, and is used by over 65 different countries.
The MP5 is black small submachine gun. It has a black, polymer frame, and a bulky shape. It has a triangular forestock, with a retractable buttstock, which, along with the fact that it is capable of burst fire, implies that the weapon is of the A5 variant.
Performance and Recommended useEdit
The MP5 used to be a poor weapon overall. However, after the new weapon changes, the MP5 was buffed. The weapon now has extreme accuracy with hipfire, especially with a laser sight. The MP5 also has a lowered amount of recoil, and is somewhat accurate with aimed firing.
The MP5 has a fairly fast rate of fire but a below average damage output for primary weapons making it not extremely reliable during a firefight with other players. It is still a decent choice of a weapon for dealing damage at close range, but its tradeoffs of low range and damage make it one of the least desirable weapons. It is recommended to keep on full auto and should be replaced with a weapon of a higher caliber when you get the chance.
Make sure to combine mags or reload often, the 30 round mags can go fast while hipspraying.
- The MP5 has the highest hipfire accuracy on the game.
- Adding a laser attachment to an MP5 will make hipfire effective in middle range, something very useful.
