The M870 is a shotgun found in Apocalypse Rising.
History[]
The Remington Model 870 is a pump-action shotgun manufactured by Remington Arms Company, LLC. It is widely used by the public for sport shooting, hunting, and self-defense. It is also commonly used by law enforcement and military organizations worldwide.
Appearance[]
The M870's model is fairly similar to the one of the M1014, but it doesn't have a stock.
Performance[]
The M870 has the highest ADS accuracy and hipfire accuracy of any shotgun, making it effective in medium range. It can easily land hits on targets at a distance, yet it can easily be beaten by an assault rifle or even a SMG if the wielder doesn't land two headshots quick enough. The main disadvantages of the M870 are the recoil which is the highest in the game (however, it can be counteracted with a grip) and the fact that it is Pump Action, making it less effective in close range than the other shotgun which uses the same ammo, M1014.
