The M3 is a civilian submachine gun or also know as the "grease gun" that takes 30 round 9×19mm magazines.
The M3 was designed in 1942 by the American weapons manufacturing company General Motors. When they were making the M3 they had stopping power and cost in mind. It was made to be a light weapon and to be destroyed quickly. The unit itself cost $20 during World War II, and it used the .45 ACP round. The M3 submachine gun saw widespread success during WWII, being used by U.S. troops and other Allied countries.
The M3 is grey, and has a low level of reflectance. It has a pistol grip, and a body in the shape of a cylinder placed down horizontally, and a rectangular magazine reciever. It has a small barrel when compared to the width and length of the body. The M3 also has a a folding stock located in front of the handle, and behind the magazine reciever. The M3 has a hooded sight system.
The M3, due to the fact that it is chambered in 9x19mm, has a low damage. However, its low recoil and medium rate of fire makes the M3 a good close range weapon. One of the downsides to the M3 is the slower rate of fire.
- There was a 9x19mm M3 designed in 1944, around 1000 of them were made. The 9mm version is the one that is in the game.
- While in real life the most common version of the M3 is chambered in .45 ACP , it would unbalance the game if this civilian submachine gun had such a high damage.
