The Auto-5 is a civilian-grade shotgun that takes 20 Gauge shells.

HistoryEdit

The Auto-5 was designed by famed gunsmith John Browning in 1905. It saw service with the U.S. Armed forces from 1905 to 1975. It was used in wars such as WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and Korea. After being removed from service in 1975, it continued to be produced for the people who used it for civilian and sporting purposes. Production of the Auto-5 stopped in 1998. The Auto-5 was also designed not only to hold hold not only 12 gauge rounds, but 16 and 20 gauge rounds as well[1].

AppearanceEdit

The reciever of the Auto-5 is grey, and the forestock and buttstock of the Auto-5 are wood. The Auto-5 has a noticeably long barrel when compared to other shotguns. It has sights that look similar to certain pistol sights. The Auto-5 has an ejection port on the upper right side of the reciever.

PerformanceEdit

The Auto-5 uses 20 Gauge buckshot, giving it a high amount of damage. Being a shotgun, the weapon suffers from signifigant recoil and low range. It makes up for this with a large amount of hip fire accuary, and being capable of semi-automatic fire. It has a user determined rate of fire, as it is semi automatic.

Recommended UseEdit

The Auto-5 should be used in CQC, as that is the only area that it will actually be deadly. The weapon should not be aimed when firing, due to low accuracy, range, and high recoil. Hip fire is always recommended with this weapon, as the Auto-5 excells in this field. When shooting at players, remember to try not to jump around, and aim for the head area, as you will usually get a body or headshot using this method.

NotesEdit

  • The Auto-5 was created by John Browning, who also created the M1911 semi-automatic pistol.
  • The Auto-5 is arguably better than the military grade shotgun, the M870, although it has a lower damage and a lower capacity.
