HistoryEdit

The AK-47 has been around since 1945. Although the RPD was the first to use 7.62x39mm round, the AK-47 was the first to use it in a magazine form. AK-47 magazines vary in capacity and shape, ranging from 30 rounds to 75 rounds. The AK-47 and AKM assault rifles have the largest amount of magazines produced for use with them, larger than any other rifle, pistol, or other firearm. Alongside this statistic, more individual units of the AK-47 and other rifles of the Kalashnikov series has been produced and copied than any other weapon on earth, at a whopping 100 million rifles[1]. The magazines used in the AK-47 and AKM have also been used in weapons such as the AK-12, RPK, and Type 56, among many others.

AppearanceEdit

The AK-47 magazine looks a lot like the magazine used in the M4A1 and AK-74. It is black in color with a curved shape. It is around 3 times as long than it is wide, and around as tall as a package of beef jerky, MRE, or a blood bag. It is also a bit larger than the M4A1 and AK-74 magazines, which can also be seen in its 40 and 75 round variants.

NotesEdit

  • This was the first magazine to use the 7.62x39mm round in the game.
